Sonic the Hedgehog is the main character and protagonist of the series of SEGA video games of the same name and is Sega's mascot. He is a supersonic, blue, teenage hedgehog. He can move faster than the speed of sound (768 mph, which is faster than Mach 1), with lightning reflexes to match (hence the name Sonic). He is a laid-back and cool character. He is meant to symbolize peace. He is 15 years old, stands at 100 centimeters (3 ft 3 in), weighs 35 kilograms (77 lbs) and was born on Christmas Island.
Sonic makes numerous appearances in several types of animation. He makes his first appearance in the series in his Sonic X-animation and later appears in Anime: Evolution in his Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog animation and Sonic Underground animation. Jason Grittith (of Sonic X) voiced him in the second season and Jahleel White (voiced Sonic in AoStH, SthSAM and SU cartoons) reprises his role as the character.
Although Sonic makes some cameo appearances, his main role was the episode "Double Trouble" in which he was also a citizen in Gameland, a dimension full of popular video arcade/console games since 1956 (Tennis for Two).
